2 tiny issuesAuthor: MitchLast post time (GMT): Mar 19 2010 09:10:45 hi! first of all, i have to congratulate you for making such an amazing screensaver.it's freaking awesome! :D now, i want to ask 2 things: first, the screensaver will not start unless i have checked the 'enable mouse movement' box. if i dont't , then when i try to run it the screen goes black for a second, and then comes back to normala again. second, i was curious about the sound effects (especially after reading that they have stereo properties :D), but even though i enable the sound effects, i do not hear a thing :/ .. i have a laptop with Windows 7, 4 GB of RAM, dual core processor @ 2.1GHz, and an Nvidia GeForce G 105 M, with all the latest drivers installed. any ideas?.. again, I SALUTE YOU, for creating such a masterpiece :D p.s. please keep supporting it!! don't let it die, it is so perfect! Re: 2 tiny issuesAuthor: TringiThanks :) For the mouse movement problem: I have a solution prepared, the next version will not have this problem. Anyway as you pointed out, the "enable mouse movement" check-box is a workaround. The sound effects require a fmod.dll library to be present in your WindowsSystem32 directory. The actual location may be a problem when running on 64-bit system, see if copying the file also into WindowsSysNative or WindowsSysWOW64 works. See legacy version 3.75 at www.fmod.org if you need the fmod.dll. The project is not dead, but the development is currently only occasional. Re: 2 tiny issuesAuthor: Mitchhi, thanks for answering back! can it be that i have no sound because i did not actually install the screensaver (you know , by executing the setup) rather than i just copied-pasted the actual theme from my old pc, to this new one? If the fmod.dll is missing then simply no sound gets played. The code is a mess, that is right, but it's not completely missing some organization or logic, so look harder :D As I wrote somewhere else here, it was my first large project and new features were sort of hacked in in past few years.
