better multi screen support?

Your screensaver rocks!
The only issue I have with it at them moment is my inability to display it properly on my second monitor. It may be that the videocard/driver for that monitor is just too old and needs replacing for something more up to date. (it's an old Voodoo3.) It looks great on my main monitor with a Geforce 440 and I love all the options. I just hate having the great code running on one screen, and a blank screen on the other. Really like it otherwise. Much better than all other "matrix" themed screensavers out there.

Hi,
I have tested the multiscreen configuration only on single videocard - left screen on screen, and right screen on TV - and that works.
The problem may be that the screensaver is running inside "device context" of primary screen and your Voodoo3 simply do not receive the image... right now I don't know how to fix it, but there were other problems with this so I would like to rewrite the renderer for future releases. But I can't tell when it could be done because I have very little time to spend on it these days.

thanks! I guess I'll keep an eye out on any new releases. I can put up with a blank screen for now. Awesome work!

By the way, what happened to the presets? the link to them tells me the files re missing.

Ok.

I don't know what happened to the files, but I have fixed it by now, so you should be able to download them.

Text: I just tried the screensaver on my system (A Dell Latitude D600 with ATI 9000 video, running XP SP2). On a single monitor, the screensaver works, but if I enable 2 displays, the screensaver doesn't display at all (well, I do see a green line on the far left side of monitor 1).

I'd love to help debug this if anyone has an idea.

Thats odd.
I was testing it on my 2 displays and it worked ok, but it was a long time ago ...I could screw something up ;-)
When I get back to development, I'll see what I can do about it. I'll let you know then.

So I could fix this forum somewhen... ;-)

It doesn't work on my dual screens either.. :(
It runs ok at the primary monitor (1440x900) but on the secondary (1360x768) it only fills half the screen.. It would be really great if support for dual screens could be added!!! While this is the best screensaver i've ever seen!!

Keep up the good work!!

Hi Harmani,

I am not sure why it could do that, but most of the limitations of the screensaver comes from your OpenGL implementation limitations. I see that your working width seems to be 2048 which definitely would be something like maximum texture size or something. Please, try updating your drivers first.
